Awaken Your Inner Healer

Panchakarma is the Ayurvedic art of detoxification, purification, and rejuvenation. A multiple day in-depth cleansing program that involve herbal advises, diet, medicated health spa techniques, and elimination procedures. These ancient rejuvenation therapies are designed to nourish the physical body and access the subtle body where stored toxins, emotions and thoughts form to create blockages in our body. It is a powerful way to address and eliminate the cause of disease and has been a method for thousands of years to stay healthy, young and vital.

This place absolutely changed my life and I will forever be grateful.

What is Panchakarma?

Because of genetic factors and more common lifestyle factors, we have weak areas of our body that accumulate toxins, when unaddressed these become disease. Ayurveda understands, if you want to experience optimal health, it is crucial to maintain healthy digestion and eliminate these build ups from the body. Panchakarma therapy is known to clear the various microscopic and macroscopic structures of the body such as the respiratory system, lymphatic system, circulatory system, reproductive system, nervous system, among others that are effected by these insufficiently metabolized waste, processed foods, and emotions.  Panchakarma supports the reversal of the degenerative process quickly, and its effects are often profound and long-lasting. Our Unique Approach to Panchakarma

At Purusha, our traditional Panchakarma approach is personalized to your unique constitution and current state of balance. The journey begins with an Ayurvedic Physician's consultation to identify your specific needs, goals and health concerns. Guided by this insight, our seasoned technicians skillfully administer specialized Ayurvedic body techniques in a systematic sequence.

This intricate process is thoroughly monitored daily and further enriched with herbal support, yoga practices, morning cleansing routines, and carefully curated meals, ensuring a harmonized experience to achieve optimal results. We adhere to rigorous and authentic protocols, providing a comprehensive holistic experience that unfolds through three distinct stages.

  1. Preparatory Phase (Purvakarma): This phase ignites the digestive fire (Agni) and involves methods for loosening toxins and lubricating the body's subtle channels. Internal and external oleation and sweating techniques serve to liquefy impurities and direct them towards the gastrointestinal tract.

  2. Elimination Procedures (Panchakarma): Depending on your unique needs, one or more of the five specialized elimination procedures (vamana, virechana, basti, nasya, raktamokshana) will be chosen to purge the body of accumulated toxins (ama). This cleansing may span several days and is vital for the purification process.

  3. Rejuvenation & Restorative Program (Rasayana): After Panchakarma, a thoughtful Rasayana program follows. It comprises herbal, nutritive, and lifestyle restorative practices that not only purify but strengthen the body. This crucial stage ensures that the body remains balanced, resilient, and less susceptible to future imbalances.

The Panchakarma process is comprehensive, affecting both mental and emotional states. During the program, a "healing crisis" may occur, reflecting a normal and often beneficial stage of the healing process. This transformation towards optimal health is carefully managed, and should this arise, your practitioner will guide you daily to ensure a balanced and supportive journey.

We’ve been practicing Ayurveda and Panchakarma for many years. During that time, we have gone through many clinics. Purusha Ayurveda is now our Gold Standard.
