Ayurvedic Cook for Panchakarma Retreat Center

Part-Time / Full-Time | Retreat-Based | Southern Utah

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Ayurvedic Cook to join our team at a serene Panchakarma retreat center. This role is an integral part of the healing experience we offer—providing nourishing, therapeutic meals that support deep detoxification, restoration, and balance.

Our center is rooted in authentic Ayurvedic principles, and we are looking for someone who not only understands Ayurvedic cooking, but embodies mindfulness, care, and presence in the kitchen.

About the Role

The Ayurvedic Cook will prepare fresh, seasonal, and dosha-specific meals for guests undergoing Panchakarma programs. Meals are simple, therapeutic, and tailored to support digestion, detoxification, and rejuvenation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily Ayurvedic meals aligned with Panchakarma protocols (kitchari, vegetable dishes, herbal teas, etc.)

  • Follow individualized dietary guidelines for guests when needed

  • Work with fresh, organic, and seasonal ingredients

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sattvic kitchen environment

  • Coordinate with practitioners to support guest healing journeys

  • Assist with menu planning in alignment with Ayurvedic principles

Qualifications

  • Training or experience in Ayurvedic cooking (formal or traditional)

  • Understanding of doshas, agni, and basic Ayurvedic nutrition principles

  • Experience cooking in retreat, wellness, or clinical settings preferred

  • Ability to cook in a calm, focused, and intentional manner

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Food safety knowledge and kitchen hygiene standards
