The surrounding area offers numerous adventures with Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and Snow Canyon close by, while the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, and Las Vegas are also within reach. St. George Regional Airport, with daily flights to major cities like Los Angeles, Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Dallas, is conveniently nearby. For those preferring ground travel, Las Vegas is less than a two-hour drive, with shuttle services available several times a day.
What to Expect for Weather
Located at the crossroads of the Mojave Desert, the Great Basin, and the Colorado Plateau, our sanctuary enjoys a unique desert climate. This region is characterized by clear skies and over 300 days of sunshine each year, with mild winters and warm summers. St. George sits at an elevation of 2,880 feet, rising to 10,000 feet in the nearby Pine Valley Mountains. Winter visitors should bring layered clothing, while summer guests will find airy, lightweight fabrics most comfortable. For most of the year, the weather remains pleasantly temperate, making it an ideal destination for relaxation and outdoor activities.
